About Revolution Equine Nutrition
Revolution Equine Nutrition is dedicated to helping horse owners optimize their horses' health through personalized, science-based feeding strategies. Founded by Annie Emery, the business is built on a foundation of academic excellence, practical experience, and a genuine commitment to equine wellness and owner support.
Annie’s passion for equine nutrition is rooted in her strong scientific background. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology with a minor in Equine Science from the University of Minnesota, where she also conducted equine-focused research. Annie later earned a Master of Science degree and managed a research lab studying how vitamins and hormones regulate bone development and mineralization. Her work spanned multiple fields—including immunology, cancer biology, and developmental biology—with a primary focus on skeletal development.
This academic foundation, combined with years of dedicated research, gives Annie the ability to critically analyze the latest advancements in equine nutrition and supplements. Revolution Equine Nutrition blends this scientific rigor with practical case experience to deliver clear, evidence-based feeding plans tailored to each horse's unique needs. Annie’s commitment to professional growth includes certifications in data analysis, clinical research coordination, two CENA-level equine nutrition and diet balancing programs, and equine bodywork/massage—providing a truly well-rounded approach to equine health.
Her applied nutrition work includes advanced, post-CENA study in the following areas:
• Metabolic disorders (PPID / IR / EMS)
• Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS)
• Hindgut dysbiosis and fecal water syndrome (FWS), IBS-type presentations
• Muscle disorders (MFM, PSSM, MYHM, IMM, HYPP, etc.)
• Feeding the starved or nutritionally compromised horse
• Advanced young-horse nutrition
Beyond her scientific and equine expertise, Annie has also studied psychology, wellness, and the mind-body connection, enabling her to support horse owners on an emotional level. This holistic perspective allows her to address not only the horse’s nutritional needs but also the well-being of the owner throughout the process. As a lifelong horse owner and dressage rider, Annie understands the stress and emotional toll of managing equine health issues and coordinating care across multiple professionals.
At Revolution Equine Nutrition, the focus is on empowering clients with clear, practical feeding strategies and ongoing support. Whether addressing a long-standing issue or optimizing overall wellness, Annie is dedicated to helping horse owners make informed, confident decisions about their horses' diets in a supportive and encouraging way. With experience across hundreds of cases—encompassing every metabolic, gastric, and muscle disorder imaginable—she is equipped to help you navigate the best nutrition program for your horse, tailored to your goals, budget, and preferences.
