About Revolution Equine Nutrition

Revolution Equine Nutrition is dedicated to helping horse owners optimize their horses' health through personalized, science-based nutrition programs. Founded by Annie Emery, the business is built on a foundation of academic excellence, practical experience, and a genuine commitment to equine wellness and owner education.

Annie's passion for nutrition is rooted in a strong scientific background. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics, Cell Biology & Development with a minor in Equine Science from the University of Minnesota, where she also conducted animal-focused research. Annie later earned a Master of Science degree and managed a research laboratory studying how vitamins and hormones regulate bone development and mineralization. Her work spanned multiple scientific disciplines, including immunology, cancer biology, developmental biology, and skeletal physiology.

This academic foundation, combined with years of research experience, provides Annie with the ability to critically evaluate nutrition research, supplements, feeding strategies, and emerging industry trends. Revolution Equine Nutrition blends scientific rigor with practical case experience to deliver clear, evidence-based nutrition recommendations tailored to each individual horse.

Annie's professional training includes certifications in equine, canine, and feline nutrition, clinical research coordination, data analytics, and animal bodywork. This multidisciplinary background allows her to approach nutrition from both a scientific and practical perspective while considering the unique needs of each horse and owner.

Her equine nutrition studies have included growth and development, weight management and body condition optimization, senior horse nutrition, performance and athletic nutrition, digestive and gastrointestinal health, metabolic and endocrine disorders, nutritional support for chronic disease management, feeding management and forage-based nutrition strategies, and supplement evaluation using an evidence-based approach to product selection.

The canine and feline nutrition coursework has also strengthened Annie's understanding of comparative nutrition, nutrient metabolism, pet food evaluation, homemade diet formulation, and clinical nutrition. While Revolution Equine Nutrition focuses exclusively on horses, this additional education provides valuable perspective on nutrition science across species and reinforces a broad understanding of evidence-based animal nutrition.

Annie has also completed training in animal naturopathy and complementary therapies to better understand consumer interest in herbs, nutraceuticals, detox protocols, and alternative wellness approaches for horses, dogs, and cats. This additional education allows her to place these products and practices within an appropriate nutritional, medical, and safety context. While Annie does not endorse every alternative approach, this training strengthens her ability to answer client questions objectively and provide balanced guidance in an increasingly complex nutrition marketplace.

Beyond her scientific training, Annie recognizes that nutrition decisions are often emotional as well as practical. Whether an owner is managing a chronic health condition, supporting a senior horse, fueling an equine athlete, or simply wanting to provide the best possible nutrition, she understands the challenges of sorting through conflicting advice and marketing claims.

At Revolution Equine Nutrition, the focus is on empowering horse owners with clear, practical nutrition strategies and ongoing support. Every recommendation is designed around the individual horse, the owner's goals, management practices, preferences, and budget.

Annie is dedicated to helping horse owners make informed, confident nutrition decisions through evidence-based guidance, individualized recommendations, and compassionate support.
